When any vessel enters into Tamar technical management, it will receive the full attention of a dedicated Technical Superintendent and Purchasing Officer. All overseen by the Fleet Technical Manager together with the Purchasing Supervisor.
All other departments within Tamar Team are in support of the Technical Department and its’ related services.
The shore teams all work closely together, supporting the ship staff to ensure the vessels are:
- Maintained to the highest standards which Tamar has established since our formation, expressing that personnel safety and on-board living standards are of paramount importance
- Managed in line with set and agreed operating costs
- Supplied with all the required and appropriate spare parts and stores required to ensure these standards are reached and that vessels’ maintenance is always up to date
- Operated in compliance with relevant rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards laid down by Tamar, maritime industry organizations, flag authorities and classification societies at all times
- Supported 24-7-365, to ensure maximum operating time is available
- Supplied via cost-effective, economic and efficient procurement of provisions, stores, consumables and lubricating oils, with access to competitive price agreements and terms with preferred suppliers gained with maximized leverage of scope
- Reliable in operation, due to the fact that the vessel, and its’ equipment is maintained to an agreed high standard, including planned and preventive maintenance strategies and cost-effective repair programs.
